My forthcoming book surveys the history of resuscitation science, frames the rate of medical progress over a single human lifetime, and interrogates the public expectations—and misconceptions—such progress creates. Ever more urgent as fringe cases penetrate the mainstream media, Read This Before You Die examines the arc of resuscitation—and its repercussions—to expand collective understanding of death in the modern age.
